Welcome to the Shopify Partner Program. We are pleased you have chosen to work with Shopify and wish you great success with your clients and Shopify. The goal of this document is to help you understand what is required and how you can best leverage the resources provided to create happy and successful clients.
2.1. General To be eligible to participate in the Program as a Partner (either as an Individual or a Non-Individual), and to represent and warrant that it has the requisite authority to agree to and be bound by this Agreement, Partner must: - Agree with the terms of this Agreement. - Provide accurate and complete information about Partner at the time of submission of the Program application, and maintain such information during Partner's participation in the Program. - Be domiciled or located in a supported country and jurisdiction. Partner's Program account will be associated with a Shopify affiliate tracking code. Shopify uses the information that you provide to determine which program you participate in. This information includes, but is not limited to, your country, physical address, and how you will promote Shopify. Partner must provide accurate and complete information about how Partner will refer potential customers to Shopify. Shopify may reject Partner's Program application or terminate this Agreement at any time if Shopify determines that Partner's methods or the content of Partner's marketing are unsuitable. - If non-individual or entity, you must have the authority to bind the entity to this Agreement and to act on behalf of the entity.
To be considered for the Shopify Partner Program, each person and organization must meet the following criteria at the time of application. Meeting eligibility does not guarantee acceptance. Shopify reserves the right to reject applications for any reason.
The application process is straightforward. Once you consider the program requirements and confirm you're a good fit, accepting the terms of the partnership agreement will send you to the Partner Dashboard. This is where the magic happens: your dashboard is a one-stop shop for your partnership with Shopify. Here, key resources and next steps are surfaced so you can get selling faster while tracking your success as a Shopify Partner. From the Partner Dashboard, clicking "Add a Store" will create your first client Development Store. Whether you're building a custom theme, setting up a subscription, or customizing a client's app, most of your work for Shopify merchants will be done on a Development Store. As a Shopify Partner, you have unlimited free Development Stores to build projects for clients, and there's no limit to how long you can keep them. Once you've prepared a project or two and are ready to present some proof of work, you can complete the application form found on the Partner Dashboard. Submitting the form is your chance to differentiate yourself and show us the value you can bring to the program. A Partner Manager will review your application within 2-4 weeks, and you'll receive an email notification on their decision. If you're accepted into the program, you're all set to start utilizing your partner benefits!
